Home About Us Message From Father John Baptiste
I want to take this opportunity to express my great joy at being here with you for our first Sunday together. It is an honor to be at St. Joseph.
For the past 10 years, I have been the Pastor of Good Shepherd Church in Decherd. These years were a wonderful experience for me and I am grateful for my time there.
Now I am very enthusiastic about taking on this new challenge of being the administrator of St. Joseph. I feel that St. Joseph is already a familiar place for me. Over the years, I have heard so much about this parish from your previous Pastors, especially Fr. Ed Steiner. Fr. Ed was the Pastor at Immaculate Conception where I was an Associate Pastor for eight years. He shared many great stories about his time at St. Joseph.
I am only beginning to get to know about the parish life here. There are many exciting activities that I look forward to joining. I am also pleased to be back in a parish with a school. Promoting Catholic Education has always been an important part of my priesthood.
It will take some time for us to get to know each other. My door is open. I’d love to hear from you. For me, a parish community is like a family. We care for one another, support one another, and pray for and with one another. We share the Sacraments and work together to build up the Kingdom of God.
I appreciate your patience and your kindness as I begin my time with you. Again, do not hesitate to share your thoughts.
