Begin your new year well by joining Saturday Morning Scripture Study
for The Great Adventure’s “James: Pearls for Wise Living”
beginning January 12, 2019.
The letter of James, one of the most practical books of the Bible, is a collection of teachings on issues faced by ordinary Christians in everyday life and speaks clearly and directly to the competing demands of this world and a life of faith. For more information and to register, see the full-page flyer at any church exit. There is no prior study necessary and all are welcome. Registration deadline is Friday, January 4, 2019, to receive materials on time.
In “James: Pearls for Wise Living”, we will:
o Find an anchor to hold us steady through the storms of life.
o Learn how just a few small words can change our entire life—for better or for worse.
o See how God's wisdom helps us face suffering and temptation.
o Learn the secret to finding joy in the midst of trials.
o Find reasons to trust in God's providence over wealth or position or personal talent.
Learn to recognize the source of discord and the way to peace.
