Is your family’s favorite dessert your Aunt Helen’s Kolaczki (Polish Cream Cheese Cookies) or maybe Grandma’s Jam Cake?

If not, what is your favorite recipe? Are you willing to share? The International Ministry is compiling recipes for a St. Joseph Cookbook.

There will be a recipe collection box in the gathering space. We will also have Recipe Collection Forms available to use if you would like. However, feel free to submit your recipes via your own recipe card or by email to . Please follow instructions below when submitting your recipes:

  1. Please type or print neatly in ink and only place one recipe per form or recipe card.
  2. List all ingredients in order of use and use abbreviations (pt., qt., pkg., env., c., tsp., T, oz., lb., gal., doz, sm. Med. Lg.)
  3. Include container sizes (for example 2 (8 oz.) cans), temps and baking/cooking times.
  4. Use names of ingredients in the directions, “Combine flour and sugar.”
  5. Please tell us which of the following categories your recipe should be placed: Appetizers & Beverages, Breads & Rolls, Soups & Salads, Desserts, Vegetables & Side Dishes, Main Dishes, Cookies & Candy or This & That.
  6. Please feel free to add special recipe notes as to why this is your favorite recipe or if this recipe came to you via your great, great, great granny who came over in a boat from Poland.

Your name will be printed with each of your recipes in the cookbook, so please be consistent with the spelling of your name. Also, please provide a phone number or email where we can contact you if we have any questions about your recipe(s).

The mission of the International Ministry is to increase understanding and encourage learning of other cultures by sharing customs and traditions of our diverse group to build a stronger community in faith. We would love to see you at our next meeting.

Please submit questions concerning the cookbook to or by phone to Cindy Caluger at 615-574-1035.
